This image is not entirely accurate, as it shows the 16V battery—it will be replaced as soon as we have the new image.
The LBS24V-12—built in Denmark by drag racers
We have been building and racing lithium-powered drag racers for many years now. We have set more than 10 NEDRA world records, and we have built and are currently running the world’s fastest electric door-slammer and drag bike. Along the way, we have been building lithium starter batteries for fellow internal combustion engine (ICE) drag racers and have also started selling commercial starter batteries for Harleys and other road and race bikes—and, for the past two years, for cars as well.
The goal with this battery was to build a top-performing 16 V battery for the European drag racing market that would be on par with—or better than—the best 16 V batteries on the market. However, it should still be affordable and serviceable, meaning that we can open it up and potentially repair a damaged battery.
With 1,000 CCA and 12 Ah, we should be able to handle all drag racing situations. We take pride in making the best possible product, and we’re always open to a conversation by phone or email if you have any suggestions or questions.

Safety warnings—but NO interruptions
Building a battery with the same safety features as those found on standard 12-volt batteries would not only increase the cost but also pose a risk of false alarms causing interruptions at critical moments during the race.
Instead, we have implemented safety WARNINGS = alarms (but no automated responses from the battery). You, as the user, must take action.
There are 3 different warnings. An overvoltage alarm will sound if the battery voltage exceeds a set value. This will not normally happen, as the included 24 V charger has this safety feature built in. Therefore, this could only happen if an unapproved charger is used.
At the other end of the spectrum, an under-voltage alarm will sound if the voltage drops below a set value. This typically happens if the battery is left connected while under a load (such as the ignition being turned on, lights left on, etc.).
The final alarm indicates a high battery temperature and will only occur after the battery has been under heavy load for an extended period of time.
All three of these alarms will be indicated by the battery-powered LED and buzzer. Action should be taken immediately, as all of these situations have the potential to damage or even destroy the battery. To extend the alarm duration all alarms will sound and flash in the same way for the first 10 minutes; thereafter, they will sound at increasingly longer intervals, and after approximately 25 hours, the LED and sound will only activate once per hour.
This label is also printed on the battery itself, so you don't need to consult the manual to understand an alarm!

Marcus Christiansen, a two-time European champion in the Super Twin Top Fuel Bike class and European record holder with a time of 6.2 seconds, uses a very special lithium starter battery from True Cousins.
The three standard—but still high-performance—12-volt starter batteries for cars—the largest of which is the LBC60SP, which offers 1,700 CCA and 60 Ah while weighing only 7.5 kg.
