UPDATE 2026

During the 2025 season, we tried upgrading the Silver Lightning to 500 V, which caused quite a few problems and damaged parts. That’s why we’ve decided to go back to 400 V and then gradually increase the voltage to 500 V over the next few years.
We have retired the TC-X and replaced it with a rail dragster that was racing in the Top Fuel class until a few years ago.

The new dragster is named Mr. FUSION, and it has so far received the old battery pack. No serious times have been recorded yet, and it will be a long learning process.

FINALLY WORLD RECORD for TC-X - 2022

After more than 4 years without any improvements for TC-X, we finally managed to achieve a significantly better time, thereby improving the world record.

At Gardermoen Raceway in Norway, a new 1/4-mile record was set with an ET of 7.65 seconds, but at only 259 km/h – due to smaller wheels, the rev limiter engaged before the finish line, preventing TC-X from going faster, though this likely only cost hundredths of a second.
It will be exciting to see if there is room for further improvements next season – see the video above.

DOUBLE WORLD RECORD - 2022

Silver Lightning now holds all 4 records in electric drag racing, following a dominant performance at the Main Event in late May at Santa Pod Raceway, UK.

Here, a new 1/4-mile record was set for both speed and ET, with a terminal velocity of an impressive 331 km/h and a time of 6.61 seconds. The 331 km/h is equivalent to 206 mph and improved upon Steve Huff's rail dragster record of 202.5 mph.
Simultaneously, the 1/8-mile times were improved, with the ET now at 4.25 seconds and a terminal velocity of 278 km/h!!! – see the video below:

IMPROVEMENT of WORLD RECORD - 2021

Silver Lightning underscored its supremacy as the world's fastest by improving the previous record from 6.86 to 6.74 seconds, with a terminal velocity of 311 km/h. This achievement took place at Mantorp Park's prestigious Drag Revival event in late July.

AND YET ANOTHER RECORD - 2021

Furthermore, later in the year, the 201m record was broken, improving from 4.74 to now 4.34 seconds. This occurred at Mosten MC's Rock & Race event, where Silver Lightning was allowed to compete in the Top Fuel bike class for the first time, securing an UNOFFICIAL 3rd place among 6 starters; see the video here:

HUGE Record - 2020

Silver Lightning is now the world's fastest electric vehicle over the 1/4-mile, with our new record of 6.86 seconds and 314 km/h. The record was set after a nerve-wracking start at Santa Pod Raceway on Sept. 11-13, where the first 6 attempts only resulted in a time of 7.14. However, relief came Sunday midday with the first record-breaking run of 6.87 seconds; see the video here:

The record had stood for 8 years prior and was set by the legend Larry "Spidermann" McBride, who is also the current world record holder for ICE motorcycles.

However, in the 9th and final run, another record was set, albeit by only 0.01 seconds, bringing the ultimate world record to 6.86 seconds and 314 km/h. Other notable times include an incredible 4.37 seconds over 201 meters (an unofficial world record and an improvement from 4.61 seconds), and 1.08 seconds for the 60-foot dash.

NEW VIDEO FEATURING JIGAWATT CUSTOMERS' MOTORCYCLES

UPDATE - MOTORCYCLES

The LBB series is now finally complete with 14 different models – ranging from the LBB7S at 280 CCA, through the LBB14S at 420 CCA, to the two most powerful, LBB20SP and LBB30SP, which are the market's most dominant batteries with up to 1425 CCA. All 14 batteries are highly competitive in terms of price when comparing the cost per Ah.

And remember that all batteries in the LBB series come with numerous important safety features, including automatic shutdown if the voltage drops below 10 or exceeds 15.6 Volts. Furthermore, the mechanical construction is significantly more robust than previously seen, and features like the 3-sided terminals and built-in voltmeter enhance their value; read more here. The voltmeter also now automatically turns off when the activation button is released.

JIGAWATT STARTER BATTERIES - FOR CARS
Having supplied starter batteries for over 600 Harleys, which are among the most demanding vehicles to start, we have expanded our product range from the same manufacturer to include cars since 2018. We have already sold to, among others, American V8-powered cars, Porsche, hot rods, drag racing cars, and many more.

LBC20SP and LBC60SP

NEWS - CARS:

All our car starter batteries have received approximately 30% more cranking power (CCA) and even more Ah, so instead of 20, 30, and 40 Ah, you can now get 20, 40, and 60 Ah. Due to the significant increase in performance, we have changed the name to LBC..SP, where P stands for Power.
In addition to these improvements, the new batteries now also feature Overcurrent Protection, which means the battery will shut off if the current draw becomes too high, thereby potentially preventing damage to the battery.

So, whether you're into street or drag racing, track racing, rally, or classic cars, this battery is an absolute must-have. Read more about the new LBC-SP series under Products or by clicking HERE.
